![]() Photographer and director, one of Sweden’s most congratulated nature photographers. “The farmers time on earth” is his first documentary movie. Peter Gerdehag about the making of the movie: “I’m standing with my camera waiting by a forest road not much wider than a trail. I hear the horse Lukas breathe heavily and soon behind him I see Styrbjörn on a big pile of logs. A tractor couldn’t have made its way through here, no way.” URL: www.gerdehag.com |

![]() Freelance editor with employers like Swedish Television and Agaton Film & Television, among others. About the making of the movie: ”The work for completing the documentary ”The farmers time on Earth” has been very educational, in many aspects. Part of it was to have the chance of taking part of Styrbjörn’s great knowledge about our landscape, and how to take care of it. But also to put together, in large extent by myself, a durable story of a unique and extensive photo. At the same time the project has brought new contacts such as Anders Barrén, who’s made most of the music for the movie. Together with Peter and Johan the material was polished and we were met by an enthusiastic editorial staff at Swedish Television, who also helped us at the end of the making by lifting parts of the material even higher.” Now we’ve reached our goal and you have, or will get, the opportunity to see the movie on TV and I hope you find it genuine and interesting, but please give us your thoughts and comments, either here or on our homepages." - Tell URL: www.tellproductions.se |

![]() Johan is a producer and has earlier worked as a consultant for a local film institute, marketing director and business developer. About the making of the movie: Peter got in touch with me when I finished working as a consultant in Kalmar Län. He said he’d been filming for over two years and gave me a tape with a sample of his then 80 hours long material. When I saw the photos I realized that this would make a very beautiful and sensitive movie. I supported the project with funding and advice. During the editing process the phone rang frequently so there was a constant dialogue, also Tell sent me tapes that I gave comments on. At start the story was in more retro perspective and it took many hours and tapes before the “right” story came through. When I finished working as a consultant Peter and Tell called me and wondered whether I wanted to continue working with the movie. It was an obvious yes. Peter’s sharp eye, ideological driving force and enormous network of contacts, will involve a directorship that attracts a lot of interest – In Sweden but also in other paces”. “In his own backyard” or “around the corner”, as he would say, he’s not only cultivating a unique language but also creating a niche within documentary movies. He chooses subjects and environments that are dear to him, where now a Gerdehag-ish territory is created with the sky as its limit. The environments, the people and the way they are portrayed has become a visual and inspiring contribution in today’s television supply. During the process of ”The farmer’s time on earth” a small core group of people has evolved. Tell is the dedicated and very accurate editor who feels in Peters intentions with his photos, give it clarity and brings out the gold in the material. Anders Barrén is the composer who not just translates film into melodies, but creates music that makes the photos come alive. In other words, there is more to come… and it is overwhelming that so many already are interested!” – Johan URL: www.miderberg.com |
